Meet Nova
Say hello to Nova! She is a beautiful senior gal. Nova has lived with one eye for many years and her remaining eye is starting to show signs of impairment as well. She needs to find her forever and settle in while she can still enjoy the sight of her new digs. Nova is very playful for her age. She does get nervous in new situations. Kiddos can be scary and she will give warning signs if she's hit her limit. She is great with all size pups and hasn't shown signs of issues with small animals, although her brother has taken the lead to ensure no cats for them. Nova is very sweet and listens to commands well. Most of her day she identifies as a couch potato, but she enjoys a good frolic and play session in the yard. Nova came in with her brother, Rocky, who you can also find available in TN. We would love to keep the pair together. Nova has lived with Rocky for his entire life and is very attached to him. With her vision impairment, we see she relies heavily on him in new situations. We believe they are true siblings with the same parents, from 2 years apart.
Adoption Process
Our Adoption Process
After you submit your adoption application, via our website, http://TaysiaBlue.com, a Taysia Blue volunteer will
contact you within 2-3 days. We are most interested in which type dog will
be a good fit for you and your family and the other pets in your home.
We will also contact you by phone to learn
more about the dog you're looking for and to review the current available
dogs in our rescue.
We will schedule an appointment for you to meet the dog(s). If a match is made,
we can complete the adoption process at that time. If we don't find the
perfect match, we'll keep trying till we do!
We hope that your home is the very last stop on the dog's journey and we do
all we can to help you and your dog make the transition easier, including
providing you with an information packet loaded with tips and resources.
Our quality standard vet care is as follows:
• Spay/Neuter - All dogs will be spayed or neutered prior to being
adopted.
• Heartworm Test - If the heartworm test is negative, the dog is placed on
regular heartworm preventative. If the heartworm test is positive, the dog
is treated to eradicate the heartworms and then placed on regular heartworm
preventative.
• Rabies vaccination
• DHP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo) vaccination
• Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccination
• Flea and tick preventative
• Microchip
