Meet Reggie
Reggie is the most “up for anything” dog his foster family has ever met! He loves dogs and will gladly play but is also respectful when his foster dog siblings don’t feel like playing. He loves to snuggle and will happily sit next to you for hours if you are willing to rub his belly. If you let him sleep in your bedroom, he’ll wake up with a paw or even a slobbery kiss if you sleep in too late. When you’re ready for a walk, he loves to take walks and will go as fast or as slow as you’d like. The 8 year old in his foster home loves playing fetch with him because Reggie always happily gives up his ball for another round! He can also play by himself with a toy, chill out and chew on a bone, or just take a nap at your feet. He’s just a great dog who loves to be with his people. Reggie is really easy to walk on a leash and despite being curious about the critters in the neighborhood, he doesn’t have much of a prey drive. He doesn’t even pull when he sees dogs, except for that last 3 feet to meet his new friend. He loves meeting dogs - anytime, anywhere. He’s a little more shy meeting people while on leash but has been extremely friendly to people who have come into the house to meet him. He has lived with cats his entire life, but in his current foster family, the resident cat has stayed away. When Reggie does see him, he is excited to see him and very much wants to be friends. Reggie is crate-trained and house-trained. He knows sit, down, and paw. He’s working on stay, leave-it, off, and up. The negatives? Reggie slobbers and snores sometimes if he’s had a long day of playing. He is also 80 lbs so his zoomies could knock someone over. He has callouses on his elbows, but they don’t seem to bother him. He will gladly eat any food that has been left out! His foster family would adopt him, but they are already have two active large dogs, a cat, and three kids. He is really a true gem! Upon approval to adopt, you will be sent SSRR Decompression and Introduction requirements that we require ALL of our adopters to follow . You will be asked to acknowledge receipt of these requirements, verify that you have read them and that you will follow them.
