Adopt-A-Stray

We are a few dedicated individuals who have formed Adopt-A-Stray in order to save many adoptable pets that would otherwise be euthanized in the shelters in our area. We routinely pull dogs and cats from the euthanasia list, as well as take in strays and owner surrenders as space allows.

Meet Sweet Face

9/15/25 Still available! 7/25/25 Sweet Face McSnuggleton III, CPA, Esq., Ph.D (in Cuteness)Lap Occupation Specialist. Full-time Good Girl. SWEET FACE’S TOTALLY TRUE BIO:*(*definitely not verified) Descendant of Johnny Cash. Can hum "Ring of Fire" in her sleep. Licensed CPA. Will absolutely chew your receipts. Former Jeopardy! contestant. Lost to a cat. Certified Emotional Support Human Trainer. Plays the violin. Poorly. But she tries. DNA test says 100% purebred... something. Her tail once went viral on TikTok. Just the tail. Interned for Michelle Obama. Mostly napped. Part-time barista. Will scream if you don’t get oat milk. Fluent in six languages, including Baby Talk and “Squirrel.” Was an extra in Marley & Me. Got cut for upstaging the lead. Her grandfather fought in the war. No one’s sure which one. Used to date a show dog. It ended dramatically. Working on her memoir: “From Pound to Profound.” Once peed on a senator’s shoe. No regrets. Ran for mayor of Dogtown. Won. It was rigged. Rescued herself, actually. Only sniffs organic. ***ok, ok, some of this might be a stretch. But you'll never know if you don't adopt her and ask her yourself!*** The facts: Sweet Face is a young adult, about a year old, and weighs about 70 lbs. We believe she is a catahoula. Shes working on house training. She is very shy but also very sweet. She just needs time to get used to new people and surroundings. She is cautious around new dogs, but is non aggressive. She was a street dog and I imagine that was learned behavior in order to survive. She is gaining confidence in her foster home and doing better every day! We have many more pictures, just contact us and we'll send them to you! Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am Saturdays Port Jervis, NY 5am Saturdays Southington, CT 8am Saturdays East Hartford, CT 11am Saturdays To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email [email protected] with any questions.
