Adopt-A-Stray

We are a few dedicated individuals who have formed Adopt-A-Stray in order to save many adoptable pets that would otherwise be euthanized in the shelters in our area. We routinely pull dogs and cats from the euthanasia list, as well as take in strays and owner surrenders as space allows.

Meet Shirley

Shirley is a 3 year old Shepherd mix who weighs about 50 pounds. She is currently at the Paws in Prison program where she is learning the basics and will pass the Canine Good Citizen test before she graduates. Shirley will graduate from the program at the beginning of January. She is a very laid back girl. If you want a sweet buddy who loves life in the slow lane, take Shirley for a spin! Good with other dogs. Her backstory- She was found as a stray. The finder kept her for a year until it became inconvenient, at which point she brought her to our vet to be euthanized. Our vet is a good person and would not euthanize just because Shirley was an inconvenience.  Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter/Foster must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.
