Courtesy post. We are listing Matilda for a very kind couple who took her in and is fostering her until a home is found. Please share. “Matilda is a sweet, smart girl who needs an active home. We think she's about a year old. She was picked up by a rescue and adopted by a woman with mobility issues. She developed some bad habits due to boredom and when the owner went to return her to the rescue, they had shut down. The shelters in our area are all full and most of the cities around here have bans against any dog that looks remotely like a pitbull, so we took her in 4 months ago to keep her from being put down. She learns quickly and is a great dog as long as she gets physical and mental exercise daily. She has been great with our dogs and at doggy daycare. I don't know if she's ever been around cats or kids. I think she'd be fine with kids, though I'd worry about her knocking them down if they're really little. She knows basic commands, is kennel trained and potty trained, and walks well on a leash. She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.
