Tucson Cold Wet Noses

Cold Wet Noses is a small group of individuals who take in the dogs that are going to be euthanized on any given day. We do this, when we can (when we have room for them), from local shelters.(we apologize we can only take in animals from the county shelter off of there rescue list) We bear all of the cost for spaying or neutering, micro-chipping, health care and shots . We're just a bunch of dog lovers who are trying to help as many furry souls as we can. The animals live with us so we know their personally and what would be the best fit for them. All of our Dogs and Cats our part of our family and we want that for them at your home. WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT DOGS TO HOMES THAT WANT TO KEEP THEM OUTSIDE ALL THE TIME THEY ARE NOT YARD DOGS. We love each and every foster and we want you to do so so as well. If they arent a good match in your home we insist that they come back to us until their perfect match is found. We truly believe that there is a perfect pet for a perfect home! Thank you for adopting a shelter dog from Tucson Cold Wet Noses.

Meet Harvey

Hi, friends, I am handsome Harvey, aka Mr. Harvs. I’m a quiet, mild mannered boy seeking love and companionship. My parent became medically unable to care for me, and I was separated from my buddy, too, so I’ve been sad and uncertain lately. However, my morning walks get me excited, and you’ll enjoy my proudly strutting alongside you as we tour the neighborhood. I walk at least 2 miles every time I go out. Sometimes I get lucky and we also take an evening walk! It’s my main source of exercise, as I don’t know how to play. Plus there’s something about stretching my legs that starts my day off right! At home, I love to lay on a lap or wedge myself against you. You will never wonder where I am, because I like to be where you are. If you’re looking for a devoted sidekick, I might be your little man! Here are some fast facts about me: Around 8 years old, neutered and immunized. I just had my nails trimmed, and teeth cleaned! I am very people oriented and really want to please my person(s). I desire a person to bond with! And walk with. Crate trained-I like the safety of my crate. I am learning a few words, and would like to learn more-I like the attention I get during training! Very quiet. I haven’t barked yet in foster! I will whine quietly when I need to be let out of my crate in the morning.  Good leash manners. Mostly walk in heel position and keep a loose lead. You will notice me looking at you regularly to make sure everything is good. I’ve spent my life alongside a companion dog, and need a home with another dog to look up to and keep company. I get along well with the foster dog and have become much braver by watching him and joining in. His puppy energy is bringing me out of my shell! I have been thinking of doing the zoomies with him, but am still a little unsure. I take treats gently and love when you whisper sweet nothings to me!   My challenges include uncertainty and mild anxiety from all the changes I’ve endured. I’m still grieving my losses. I do, however, take well to encouragement, and am becoming much more confident in my foster home.   I am a loving little gentleman and my soulful eyes will melt your heart.   If you are a good fit, please apply. Let’s do great things together!   Harvey is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Catalina, Sahuarita and Oro Valley only. His adoption fee is $275 with an additional $21 for licensing.   Fill out an adoption application at www.tucsoncoldwetnoses.com to meet Harvey!
