Tucson Cold Wet Noses

Cold Wet Noses is a small group of individuals who take in the dogs that are going to be euthanized on any given day. We do this, when we can (when we have room for them), from Pima Animal Care Center (PACC).(we apologize we can only take in animals from the county shelter off of there rescue list) We bear all of the cost for spaying or neutering, micro-chipping, health care and shots . We're just a bunch of dog lovers who are trying to help as many furry souls as we can. The animals live with us so we know their personally and what would be the best fit for them. All of our Dogs and Cats our part of our family and we want that for them at your home. WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT DOGS TO HOMES THAT WANT TO KEEP THEM OUTSIDE ALL THE TIME THEY ARE NOT YARD DOGS. We love each and every foster and we want you to do so so as well. If they arent a good match in your home we insist that they come back to us until their perfect match is found. We truly believe that there is a perfect pet for a perfect home! Thank you for adopting a shelter dog or cat from Tucson Cold Wet Noses.

Meet Petunia

Say hello to Petunia. Petunia is seeking her soulhuman and hopes to make their lap her forever home. She is a chihuahua mix who will be 11 years old in May and weighs in at just 7.2 lbs. Despite her small size, Petunia will make you big happy with her loyalty and appreciation for her human. She is a tiny bundle of spunk for an older gal. She has a lot of years left in her thanks to the tender loving care she has received medically through Tucson Cold Wet Noses. (We believe she may have been surrendered to the shelter due to the possible cost of addressing her medical needs which have all been taken care of now). She recently had dental surgery and they removed all of her teeth except for one perfect shiny one. She feels like a new woman following her makeover! Petunia and her one beautiful tooth bounce around loving life and food. She has a good healthy appetite, loves treats and isn’t shy about wanting to share your food with you. Petunia likes to be where you are. She will sleep while you’re sleeping and she will follow you around while you clean the house. Be careful taking out the trash because she will bounce step right outside with you. Petunia is great with her foster family’s other dogs both big and small but sticks closely to her caretaker. She also takes care of herself and always gets all of her steps in by doing regular laps around the house throughout the day. This wonderful lady will give you all of her love and make you smile with every bouncy step.   Petunia’s foster mom wants you to know: Petunia is so good about going potty when you take her outside. Even if you just took her out 30 minutes ago, she will squat and try and potty again. She may be able to use a doggie door if you have a small enough one for her, however, she is small enough to get picked up by a bird of prey so better to accompany her at all times.   Petunia is available to homes in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Catalina and Sahuarita only. Her adoption fee is $250, with an $11 PACC license fee transfer.   Please fill out an adoption application at www.tucsoncoldwetnoses.com to meet Petunia!
