Tucson Cold Wet Noses

Cold Wet Noses is a small group of individuals who take in the dogs that are going to be euthanized on any given day. We do this, when we can (when we have room for them), from Pima Animal Care Center (PACC).(we apologize we can only take in animals from the county shelter off of there rescue list) We bear all of the cost for spaying or neutering, micro-chipping, health care and shots . We're just a bunch of dog lovers who are trying to help as many furry souls as we can. The animals live with us so we know their personally and what would be the best fit for them. All of our Dogs and Cats our part of our family and we want that for them at your home. WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT DOGS TO HOMES THAT WANT TO KEEP THEM OUTSIDE ALL THE TIME THEY ARE NOT YARD DOGS. We love each and every foster and we want you to do so so as well. If they arent a good match in your home we insist that they come back to us until their perfect match is found. We truly believe that there is a perfect pet for a perfect home! Thank you for adopting a shelter dog or cat from Tucson Cold Wet Noses.

Meet Wiley

Wiley is a 12ish year old sweet old soul. He is mostly Heeler and in typical Heeler fashion, he takes a little bit of time to warm up to you. Once he does, he is your best friend and loves scritches behind his ears and under his chin. He does a happy dance when you arrive home and at breakfast and dinner. He is a low key kinda guy, but he loves going on his daily walk. He walks wonderfully on a leash and takes time to stop and smell the flowers along the way. He is very dog friendly and also gets along with cats.  He has osteoarthritis and stage 2 kidney disease. He is on medication for the osteoarthritis and has to be on a special diet for his kidney disease, but he still has a lot of life left in him. Due to his kidney disease, he will need access to a dog door, which he knows how to use or someone that is home all the time to let him out He has never had an accident in my house. He is also mostly deaf, but he does hear a bit. He responds really well to hand gestures and he is very smart and knows the routine. He sleeps on a bed in my room at night and takes himself out if he needs to, but he mostly sleeps through the night. He is totally fine being left alone and has free access to my house when I am gone. He has never touched a thing and mostly sleeps.  Wiley is a diamond in the rough and I can totally see him with an older couple or person that just wants a low key partner. Someone will be really lucky to have this dog as their companion.   Wiley is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered. He is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Catalina, Oro Valley and Sahuarita only. His adoption fee is $250, with an additional $21 for PACC licensing. If you would like to meet this handsome boy, please fill out an adoption application at www.tucsoncoldwetnoses.com
