Odin (A113528) is a 10-year-old Karelian Bear Dog who weighed 42.7 pounds on intake! 04/22/25 This handsome boy is Odin! Odin was surrendered to the shelter because his owner was moving to a tropical climate and did not feel that he would adjust well to that location. Odin has strictly been an outdoor dog and was used to roaming his fenced-in one-acre property. He was known to be a marker when brought indoors. Typical of the breed, Odin was known to have a high prey drive and should not go to a home with small animals (small dogs, cats, or pocket pets) that he might be tempted to chase. He was said to do great with children and enjoys the company of women! We encourage the next owner to familiarize themselves with the breed prior to bringing Odin home. He is a sweet boy, but was known to be protective of his people. If you are interested in meeting Odin, please let us know!
