Meet Rex

Rex came to us in pretty rough shape and was in desperate need of medical attention. We spent quite some time with him, working towards making him feel better and we are happy to report that he is a happy, healthy puppy again! Rex is such a tough, resilient young dog who absolutely deserves to find the best home. During his time in the shelter Rex has been such a good boy. He does great with handling and has taken everything we've thrown at him like a champ. Rex enjoys learning and is a people pleaser, which may help with any additional training he may need! Rex has been friendly towards other dogs and always has a friendly demeanor when seeing them. He may enjoy having a friend in his new home. We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed! Now that Rex is feeling better, he has proven to be active and loves to play! Going on walks is probably his favorite thing but he is also a ball dog and loves to chase tennis balls around. He will be happiest with regular exercise. Rex is also very snuggly. When he is wanting some love, he will often rest his head in peoples laps. We find this to be so sweet! Rex does walk pretty well on a leash but may need some redirection from time to time as he does like to jump up for a hug. He also knows the cues `sit` and `down`. We adore Rex and know that if you meet him, you will too! If you feel that Rex would be a good fit for your home, we encourage you to come by and meet him!
