This sweet ‘lil thing is Lucy, and she is a bundle of joy and full of life; it is impawssible not to have a good time when she is around. She listens when called, is leash trained, and will go into her crate on command. When it comes to playing, Lucy is not shy about initiating play with her foster siblings, and she will no doubt impress you with her moves. Play bows? You bet! Her most impressive move is to “tag” a friend then run away as fast as pawssible so they can give chase at whirlwind speed! After playtime is over, she loves to watch her foster parents and will place her head right in their laps while they sit on the couch. - This makes it easy for them to pet her long, super-soft fur. When it comes to food or treats, Lucy loves them all, in fact, she is contemplating applying to be a sous chef when she grows up. The ideal home for Lucy is one with people who will give her lots of attention and another dog with energy to play with her. This lovely girl is as sweet as can be; we are pawsitive she is the ray of sunshine you didn’t even know you were missing! Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. We may consider fostering for some of our dogs who are in boarding.
