Rosalie and Friends

Rosalie and Friends is taking over the 501c3 organization from "Friends of the Escambia County Animal Shelter" Continuing programs include heartworm treatment sponsorship for dogs adopted through our shelter, a fospice program that places and supports senior shelter animals in a loving home and Major Medical support for cases that cannot be managed by shelter veterinarian. Our logo states "Fospice and Fixer Uppers" We are expanding to take in community animals in need to keep them from going to the shelter. The fospice animals remain under our care and the fixer uppers are placed up for adoption once the medical condition has been properly managed. Previously the fixer uppers were then transported up to a partner shelter in the northeast but we will not offer some of them for adoption locally.

Meet Ollie

Welcome our newest Friend, Ollie! Ollie is an 8 year old beagle mix who was loved his entire life. His dad who loved him since he was 8 weeks old is unfortunately going into assisted living after a bad fall. Sadly, Ollie is not allowed to join. When the vet office reached out to some of our fosters and they shared his story, how could we say no. Not only for Ollie, but for his dad as well. We hope his dad can take comfort in knowing we will make sure his precious boy will find the best home. Ollie absolutely loves other dogs, kitties, and all people, including kiddos. He is well rounded and super sweet. His favorite thing is to go on walks. He does pull a little, but who can blame him, he does have that hound nose leading him to all the good smells. Due to his hound heritage, a secure fenced in yard will be required. Not only to allow him room to run and play, but to keep him safe when his nose catches a whiff of something worth trailing. Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application: https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041 We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. Please give us up to 48 hours to respond. Submission of an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee approval. We look forward to hearing from you.

Adoption Process
Completion of adoption application followed by online and telephone screening. Home visit and signing of a contract which states animals will be a indoor family pet.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
