Meet Beaker

NEWBIE ALERT!! Meet Beaker - male, 14 years old, morkie (Maltese and yorkie mix). Sadly, his owner passed away and his family is looking to find this boy the perfect home. He has lived with other pets and small children, but with his age an older calmer household would be best. He’s very low maintenance, and has a personality more like a cat-set in his ways, does what he wants, doesn’t care if you pet him, and is cool as long as you keep him fed. He does well on car rides, on a leash and is trained to sleep in a crate at night. He is a “senior” dog, so his eye sight is starting to decline and he’s a little on the overweight side, but overall is in great health. Beaker would make a great addition if you just don’t want to be alone! He will complete his vetting next week and will then be adoption ready.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Adoption Process
Our fee is $175 to cover vetting. Our dogs are adopted with age appropriate vaccinations, decals, dewormer, exams, heartworm test, spay/neuter, preventions and treated for any illness or injury.
