Laramie Animal Welfare Society

We support the City of Laramie Animal Shelter by paying for medical care for all the surrendered animals and paying for all of their adoptions to be spayed/neutered. We also provide fosters for special needs animals and bottle fed kittens in the City Shelter Provide a spay/neuter coupon to community members. Offer a feral cat TNR program in Albany county and have a kitten foster/socialize/adopt program. Meet Violet

Violet is an active, fun-loving kitten who's VERY food motivated. She came to LAWS with a strong apprehension about humans in general, but quickly learned that we provide, food, comfort, safety... and we make playtime so much more fun; balls and mousey toys are her favorite! She's cautious about new people and environments, but with a little encouragement, she warms up quickly. She's comfortable with being picked up and held, but prefers to sit on your laptop or snuggle up on the couch. Violet immediately took to her foster cat siblings, and can warm up to dogs given some time and space. Violet is a dilute gray tabby with white boots and occasional white stripes. Her adorable pink lower lip makes her look like she has a perma-blep and a constant smile on her face. She has the most adorable meewpy meow which she uses to ask you to "hurry up with the foodz pleaze!" (see video). She's a healthy average sized kitten and still has some growing to do. Violet would love a home with humans to give her lots of play time who are willing to work on lap-pets & snuggles after some trust is built. She'd do well as a solo kitty with a reasonable amount of human attention or as an additional companion for an existing fur family.

Adoption Process
Adopters must fill out application and provide 3 references and current veterinarian (if applicable). All animals are spay/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. Contract includes commitment to keep cats indoors (unless adopting a feral to be a barn cat), keeping identification on dogs, and returning animals to LAWS if owner can no longer care for them

Look for other cats for adoption!
