Meet Parsley
Parsley is almost ready for adoption! He is neutered, microchipped, has his rabies and distemper shots and is Feline Leukemia/FIV negative. He and his siblings, Basil and Tabasco, were born in a room in a home where the people were not sure what to do when the cat they had rescued actually had kittens! So, they spent the first five months of their lives sequestered in one room. Then they were brought into foster care in Purr-Fect Match. Here, they have gotten attention, and learned a bit about more consistent human contact. We would love to see it continued by them having a home of their own! Parsley is a shy guy until it comes to food, so food may be an excellent motivator! When the food comes out, the meow mode kicks in. He has a tiny little motor and loves to be scratched on the chin. And let’s not overlook that cute pink nose! Parsley is still learning to trust and likes slow movements and slow petting. He enjoys wrestling with his brother Basil. Because of his age and his attachment to his brother, we would strongly suggest they be adopted into the same home. It will be better for both boys. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting any of our adoptable pets, we ask that you first fill out a non-binding adoption application on our website: purrfectmatch.rescuegroups.org/forms. If you have questions, please email us at [email protected] or leave a message at 920-234-5995. Our webpage also has information on the adoption process and next steps. Thank you for choosing to adopt!
Adoption Process
Potential adopters must fill out an application form including information regarding declawing (we do NOT support declawing). We then call references and prior vet(s), as well as run a background check for legal issues. The Board of Directors approves an applicant. At that time, the animal is taken to the home and a home visit performed. If it is satisfactory, the animal(s) is(are) left at the new home. A two-week trial period ensues in order to make certain a "perfect match" has been made. Either the adopter or PFM can remove the animal from the home during that two-week period. After that, the adoption is final.
