Meet Tabasco
Tabasco and her brothers, Basil and Parsley, were born in a room in a home where the people were not sure what to do when the cat they had rescued actually had kittens! So, they spent the first five months of their lives sequestered in one room. Then they were brought into foster care in Purr-Fect Match. Here, they have gotten attention, and learned a bit about more consistent human contact. We would love to see it continued by them having a home of their own! This petite girl is a SPICY one and isn’t afraid to tell her larger brothers where to go. She is into everything, is the first to greet people at the door, and may have multiple personalities. She loves to be loved on, but the second she has had enough she delivers a right-pawed swat and walks away. Just to return for more . Since her spay, she is toning that down, so not as scary as she once wanted to be. Still, it would be nice if she got a human with a good sense of humor and who doesn’t take things personally! Tabasco is not a good candidate to be an only cat. She may have too much energy and be a bit too hard on what she finds if she does not have appropriate company. She is definitely worth what you will put into her, as she will keep you entertained and loved for many years! If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting any of our adoptable pets, we ask that you first fill out a non-binding adoption application on our website: purrfectmatch.rescuegroups.org/forms. If you have questions, please email us at [email protected] or leave a message at 920-234-5995. Our webpage also has information on the adoption process and next steps. Thank you for choosing to adopt!
Adoption Process
Potential adopters must fill out an application form including information regarding declawing (we do NOT support declawing). We then call references and prior vet(s), as well as run a background check for legal issues. The Board of Directors approves an applicant. At that time, the animal is taken to the home and a home visit performed. If it is satisfactory, the animal(s) is(are) left at the new home. A two-week trial period ensues in order to make certain a "perfect match" has been made. Either the adopter or PFM can remove the animal from the home during that two-week period. After that, the adoption is final.
