Meet Leo

Oh Leo! He has the heart of a lion (and he looks a little like one too with his big face and mane) so he was named after "Leo the Lion".  We have all fallen in love with this cat! He is so sweet, calm, and loving even with all he has had to deal with. Leo was found by a volunteer's family member and brought to our shelter. He was extremely congested, matted, and overall unwell but the still so sweet. Due to his congestion, he was unable to groom himself, and had to be shaved completely (except his face) and still he remained sweet as ever during that process too. He proudly wears a hoodie (see pictures) in order to keep himself warm while he anxiously waits for his luxurious coat to return. It was determined his congestion was due to two large polyps which were surgically removed, and still Leo remained kind to other fur friends and volunteers alike. He even bonded with one of the kittens that came to the shelter in similar condition, he comforted him and enjoyed his company while they recovered together. He constantly reminds us that a positive attitude makes all the difference!  Leo seems to handle every obstacle with courage and kindness. He really is just an all around a beautiful soul. If you would like to be part of this story, the best part, please apply to adopt Leo.  **We will continue to update Leo's pictures and bio as he continues his journey**  Leo continues to grow stronger each day. We continue to monitor him for concerns of an additional polyp and/or swelling as he still experiencing some minor congestion. He got tired of his sweatshirt, so we took it off of him. He prefers to sit in the window for sun as his fur is slowly starting to return. His "light" continues to shine brightly, as he makes volunteers smile daily! Leo will still need time a little time to recover his health fully. He is so happy and full of life. He loves the ball toys, he loves the sun, he loves to watch TV, especially if it involves birds. Leo, most importantly, LOVES Luna (another adoptable kitty), we say that is his lady, and thankfully she loves him right back. They sleep and play together all the time. If you are looking to add a pair to your family, they are a match made in heaven. She is the one of the most loving cats in our shelter as well, if you even look her way, she will begin to purr. These two are just pure LOVE! Complete our online adoption application a www.littleorphans.org to start the process of a dding this adorable cat(s) to your home.
