Meet Oakley
I am Oakley. I am mostly black with two white spots. One on my tummy and the other on my neck. My foster mom says it looks like I'm wearing a bow tie. I was found in a woodpile along with my brother and sisters; Woody, Ashley, and Cherry. Lucky for us, the man that found us took us to his neighbor. She contacted us and here we are We were only a month old but have definitely gotten used to being spoiled and pampered. My foster mom calls me The Leader of the Pack. I was the first to do most everything; eat on my own, use the potty, play with toys, etc. She also calls me her Big Cuddle Bug; I'm a lover, not a fighter. I love wet food, toys, and wrestling with my siblings so I would love a home with one of them.
Adoption Process
Potential adopters must fill out an application form including information regarding declawing (we do NOT support declawing). We then call references and prior vet(s), as well as run a background check for legal issues. The Board of Directors approves an applicant. At that time, the animal is taken to the home and a home visit performed. If it is satisfactory, the animal(s) is(are) left at the new home. A two-week trial period ensues in order to make certain a "perfect match" has been made. Either the adopter or PFM can remove the animal from the home during that two-week period. After that, the adoption is final.
