Second Chance Companions

We are an all-volunteer organization, started in 1993 dedicated to helping animals in SW Washington and the Portland Metro area. We have a small number of foster homes that take in dogs/cats (and sometimes other small animals) and no central facility, but we also work as a referral service for private owners who are looking for homes for their pets (we do the screening for them and also provide education to try to encourage them to keep their pets, when possible). We have a low-cost spay/neuter program for the public to try to try to curb pet overpopulation. We also work with our local Meals on Wheels program to provide pet food to Meals on Wheels recipients, individuals in assisted living and senior facilities, and area food banks. When we have the funds, we also provide emergency medical assistance to individuals.

Meet Leaf

Leaf is a handsome dude! He is a silver, saddleback tabby with toes, toes, and more toes! His litter of five and their 115 toes were left in a box at the Humane Society at 3 weeks of age. They were bottlefed for a few weeks, so love people! Leaf loves to cuddle and will suck on your neck if you let him. He is an active kitten and will entertain you for hours. He has been neutered, vaccinated (will need one more), tested negative for FELV and FIV, treated for parasites and microchipped. He is littertrained. Please gillnout an application at sccpets.com.

Adoption application, vet/personal references checked, adoption contract must be signed, animals spayed/neutered. Adoption donations: Dogs: Puppies (6 months and younger): $150 Dogs over 6 months: $100 Exceptions: Purebred: Starting at $250 Senior or Medical Issues: $60 Cats: Kittens (6 months and younger): $100 Cats over 6 months: $50 Exceptions: Purebred: $150 Senior or Medical Issues: $35
