nOkill Network

The nOkill Network is dedicated to promoting no-kill animal shelters, organizations, and rescue groups by helping people learn about and locate these organizations. The nOkill Network also strives to promote the no-kill model so that shelters that do not currently have a no-kill policy might take the initiative needed to gain the public, governmental, and financial support necessary to become a no-kill organization. Our website visitors are pet lovers that would be helpful in adopting and caring for pets in need, so we'd like to provide the adoptable pet listing on our site in order to match animals in need with families.

About

Meet Tigger

Tigger came to us as a stray, from a person who used to feed him and let him inside the house. She has since moved away. We adopted him, neutered and got him up to date on his shots. He's a fun loving, playful animal who likes to cuddle. His favorite toy is a stuffed duck and he carries it around in his mouth and tosses it up in the air. He loves to play with a fuzzy worm on a wand and will jump, pounce, and bite to subdue it. He never adapted to indoor life, so we would let him out at night. We live in an HOA and cats are allowed outside only on leashes. We tried that. Tigger is an escape artist and wriggled out of the leash. Left indoors, he would yowl and claw and try to get out of the house. He became an expert at running between my legs when I open the door. He doesn't hunt; he likes to explore. He's curious about everything. He get trapped in the attic or a closet, and meows to get out. In many ways, he is delightful. As long as he can go outside when he wants to. Neighbors complained, so we worked on re-homing him. We were -in the wrong county -shelter was full -no longer takes cats -takes only kittens -never got back to us -kills animals that aren't adopted quickly We listed Tigger on Adopt-a-Pet. So far, no applications to adopt. We need to resolve this situation soon. **** Breed: British shorthair **** Pet Link: https://www.nokillnetwork.org/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2181744&flag=1
