About
Meet Poppy
Poppy's story with me started when I adopted her from a family in North Georgia that was moving away. They had kept her as an indoor-outdoor cat, but I transitioned her to fully indoors. During the process of getting her vaccinated and spayed, the vet discovered that she was actually pregnant. I opted to delay spaying until after she delivered her babies, and she surprised me with 6 kittens (a huge litter for a first-time and young cat mama)! I was able to adopt out 3 of the kittens to friends of friends, and 2 of the other little ones stayed with me. We have been through quite a lot, including a move, COVID, and a (now ex) girlfriend and a puppy that moved in. I think the best home for Poppy is one without other pets around. Even though she will tolerate other cats or dogs, she can get defensive when the 2 boys want to play and don't respect her personal space enough. It might be just her outdoor cat upbringing. But she loves being around people and is very sweet and cuddly. **** Breed: American Shorthair **** Pet Link: https://www.nokillnetwork.org/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2184025&flag=1
