Collar of Hope

Collar of Hope is an all volunteer, animal rescue group, primarily dogs. We are a FOSTER HOME BASED RESCUE AND HAVE NO FACILITY TO VISIT. The only way to meet a animal without submitting our adoption application is when we attend adoption events with some of our available pets..We are committed to helping homeless animals find their way into permanent loving homes as a valued member of the family. We do not discriminate in size, age or breeds; we just want to help nice adoptable cat & dogs as we can and believe they have the right for the chance at their own happy "tail"!We are not trainers, behaviorist or veterinarians. We provide all basic health care, grooming needs and a safe place for the animal until a good viable match for the animal comes along. All rescues will take some work, some more and some less depending on the age and background. 99% of our dogs come from shelters as strays so we have no history on them. We learn as much as we can about them while they're in our care in their foster home.

Meet Polly

Our website has information about our rescue, adoption process and link to our adoption application www.collarofhope.org Polly is a very sweet girl.  She was hanging around a hotel for months and being fed by employees there.  It was an industrial area with no housing nearby so we don't know anything about her past.  We do know that she's a chill, lovable girl who even allows belly rubs. She will bump you will her head lovingly while you're petting her.  A more calm home would be best for her.  We don't know how she is with other cats but do know dogs make her nervous.  The gals at the Vet just loved her personality.   We found a spay tattoo but she had no microchip.    We are a foster home based rescue and have no facility to visit.  Some of our kitties can be seen at our PetSmart partner store in Gig Harbor and it will be noted on their profile if they are at this public location.  Prior to adoption, as a minimum,  our animals are spay/neutered, vaccinated age appropriate (will need additional vaccines in some cases), parasite treated/prevented and micro-chipped.

Adoption Process
