Daquiri *kitten*

Forgotten Felines of Culpeper

I have been rescuing for another group for 8 years, that group is in the process of dissolving. I am forming this group because there is a desperate need for it in this area. I believe that every cat deserves to have shelter from the elements, food, and humane care. I am hoping to lower the shelter's euthanasia rates, and help the community by taking in sick, orphaned, and abandoned cats through a network of foster homes, once expansion is necessary.

Meet Daquiri *kitten*

Meet Daquiri and Margarita, 6 month old sibling tabbies that came to us with their mom, Bailey, from a GoodSamaritan who rescues. They were found as strays, all together,Daiquiri is an A+ biscuit maker. Daiquiri doesn’t brag about his skills, though, he’s a laid-back guy, maybe even a little shy, who takes a little while to get to know you. But once he does, he is your BFF. He loves to cuddle and get up close and purrsonal by purring in your face. This guy loves his toys and has earned the nickname “Tigger“ because he hops and twists in the air when he plays with his toys. Now that’s the kind of energy we all want to have around us, laid-back and playful. One of the many charming traits of Miss Margarita is that she is a “talker.” She has things to say. This beautiful tabby is also very much a cuddler. Her foster mom reports that she loves to lay on her shoulder and watch TV with her. She also loves lots of attention and getting her paws massaged. I mean don’t we all, girlfriend!Daquiri and Margarita get along well with other cats, kids and dogs. They would love to be adopted with her brother Daquiri, but it’s not required. They would probably do best in a medium energy home with older kids and adults. If you are interested in meeting this chatty girl, please message us through Facebook or email us at [email protected] and Margarita are/will be neutered soon, have their FVRCP vaccines, rabies vaccine, will be combo tested, and are microchipped with a lifetime registration. No need to pay every year - it's done! Please let us know if you would like a little pick me up! [email protected]

Adoption Process
Once adoption application is approved and references checked, an adoption contract is signed. For all Shrinking Violets - not fully socialized cats - the adoption fee is $25. Requirements of adoption: may not declaw, if for any reason it doesn't work out the cat MUST come back to our organization. The cat's new, adoptive home must be an indoor only one in a quiet, low activity home, with older children. Must take to vet w/in 10 days.

Look for other cats for adoption!
