Colt *kitten*

Forgotten Felines of Culpeper

I have been rescuing for another group for 8 years, that group is in the process of dissolving. I am forming this group because there is a desperate need for it in this area. I believe that every cat deserves to have shelter from the elements, food, and humane care. I am hoping to lower the shelter's euthanasia rates, and help the community by taking in sick, orphaned, and abandoned cats through a network of foster homes, once expansion is necessary.

Meet Colt *kitten*

Meet Beretta, Kimber, Colt, and Benelli, 4 gorgeous little kitten siblings born in a garage last month and found with their mom. Poor mom, Winnie, was a stray and ducked into the garage to have a safe place for her babies. A Good Samaritan found them and contacted us and they came into care at only a few days old. Both Beretta and Kimber are little girl torticos - half torti and half calico. They have colors of black, browns, and creams with white paws. Beretta has a little cream stripe down her forehead. She is extremely playful and goofy and a little more shy and conservative than her sisters. Kimber is very curious and playful. She is usually the first one of her crate in the morning. Colt is the only boy and enjoys eating, sleeping, and snuggling. He is calm and low-key most of the time. Benelli, another little girl is a gray tabby and is the pack leader. She doesn't stay still for very long. She is tiny but mighty and the most agile and coordinated of the siblings. All kittens are/will be dewormed, receive 2 FVRCP vaccines, a rabies vaccine at 4 months of age, be spayed/neutered, combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. No need to pay to re-register every year, we've done it for you! These kittens won't last long! These cuties will be ready for adoption on or about the 2nd week of May but you can preadopt them now by filling out a digital application at:  https://submit.jotform.com/221029453063044  All do well with children, but no children under 4 years old, please. We strongly prefer kittens be adopted in twos or have a playmate at home. Preference goes to people/families adopting more than one.

Adoption Process
Once adoption application is approved and references checked, an adoption contract is signed. For all Shrinking Violets - not fully socialized cats - the adoption fee is $25. Requirements of adoption: may not declaw, if for any reason it doesn't work out the cat MUST come back to our organization. The cat's new, adoptive home must be an indoor only one in a quiet, low activity home, with older children. Must take to vet w/in 10 days.
