Meet Calvin

Afin d'avoir une chance de l'adopter, veuillez remplir notre formulaire d'adoption directement sur notre site web:  https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/nous-contacter/formulaire-adoption/       Calvin arrived at the Animal Rescue Network in February 2024 after being found wandering in Montreal North in the fall of 2023. Unfortunately, he is a carrier of the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). For more information about FIV: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv    Despite this, he is in good health and can live a long and happy life indoors! Calvin was very upset when he arrived at the shelter. He was extremely stressed and tried to run away at every opportunity during his quarantine period. Fortunately, once out of quarantine, Calvin quickly came to his senses. He's still a shy, nervous cat, but he now appreciates being petted! He should always be approached very gently. That's really the key word for him. For this reason, Calvin cannot live in a house where there are or will be children. He gets on well with other cats. He's curious and loves to greet us! He loves being up high, as it reassures him. He's really a wonderful cat who deserves a chance. He doesn't like to be handled at the moment. Calvin is an adult cat so the adoption fees for him are $290. He is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He is positive for the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) but negative for the feline leukaemia virus (FeLV). Health insurances are offered for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the help of the adoption team as long as you need it. You will also have access, for the first month following adoption, to a 30 minutes video consultation with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).   In order to get a chance to adopt him, please fill out our adoption directly on our website:  https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/contacts/adoption-form/
