Meet Balou

Afin d'avoir une chance de l'adopter, veuillez remplir notre formulaire d'adoption directement sur notre site web: https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/nous-contacter/formulaire-adoption/   Balou arrived at the Animal Rescue Network in mid-January 2024, along with his brother Bayou. The little ones were very shy, so it was necessary to socialize them. After about 14 days, they started exploring the whole house without hiding. When he doesn't know you, Balou is shy and won't initiate contact. He's a very gentle cat. He now likes to be petter but we have to be patients with him. Balou does, however, love to play. He loves running up and down the apartment corridor. He loves playing with the plastic springs and with his brother. He's also very greedy. He loves cat treats like Creamy. Treats have helped his foster family socialize him. When he's hungry, he meows. So we take the opportunity to talk to him, and he responds. Like most cats, Balou doesn't like to be held. You have to let him come to you. He likes to nap lying next to us in bed or on the sofa in the living room, especially if his brother is there too. Of course, there's still some socializing to do, but he's already much more at ease than when he first arrived. A calm but present family would be ideal for him. Another cat would also be a very good option for him to fully blossom. Balou is kitten so the adoption fees for him are $340. He is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He also tested negative to the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and for the feline leucose virus (FeLV). Health insurances are offered for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the help of the adoption team as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free phone consultation during the first month following adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ). In order to get a chance to adopt him, please fill out our adoption directly on our website: https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/contacts/adoption-form/
