Meet Don Juan #fluffy-tailed

  DOB 8/1/20 Do you have a penchant for big, fluffy, gentle giants? If so, great -- because I may fill the bill! Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Don Juan, a large, friendly, affectionate, cuddly “harlequin” Maine Coon mix fella who’s mostly white with a few large black patches. I got my moniker because I steal everyone’s hearts. Don’t get me wrong – I’m no Lothario but a huge, very handsome dude with a luxurious fluffy tail who immediately wants to warm Foster Meowmy’s lap when she sits down. After I’m comfortably situated, I start making “the best air biscuits” on her lap as I soak up her forehead kisses, head butts, and chin scratches. I’m addicted to attention and affection! In fact, I make it hard for her to type on her computer because quite often I want her to hold me. For goodness sakes, she can’t double-task with only two hands! My elderly owner had been attempting to care for me and three other cats. Unfortunately, she either passed away or went to memory care, and through no fault of our own, all four of us showed up at the Wharton pound. Although my owner loved me, not only had she declawed my front claws, but also she had neglected brushing my medium-length fur. I was severely covered in mats that were so tight and close to my body that they had to be professionally removed. Even then, the pros nicked my skin in a few places! All four of us kitties were grateful to be rescued and taken to various HOPE foster homes. Of course I get along great with the other foster cats, and even the resident cat’s slight hissing doesn’t faze me at all -- other than pique my curiosity! Because of my docile demeanor, I’d likely do well with well-behaved kids and cat-friendly dogs, although I haven’t been tested with either. I know that I’m “eye candy” because I’m so handsome, but I want to be adopted by someone who appreciates that I’m a big, loving, and lovable cuddlebug.
