Meet Maddie

Maddie is the perfect combination of solo cat and snuggler. She loves toys and plays well by herself but loves company. Her favorite toys are balls, loose or in the cat-it track, running through the play tunnel (or anything that pretends to be a tunnel), any ribbons/stringy things on a stick, laser pointer and her very favorite, wrestling with my ginger boy Archie. She jumps and climbs and leaps from the couches. I'm sure she would love a cat tree to zoom around on.   She would be excellent in a home with a playmate. Everyone she meets is a friend, whether animal or human. She's high energy and needs a lot of activity. But when she's tired, she's the best snuggler in the world. Sometimes she climbs onto my shoulders and nestles by my neck. I hope she keeps trying that once she's fully grown. She loves to lay close in bed, preferably on a soft blanket so she can get right on making her biscuits. Then, she'll get close and snooze the night away. But if you're someone who needs a break, she's very content in her cozy bed in the bathroom for everyone to get a break. She's a quiet girl, maybe she'll grow into a louder meow, right now, it's like a whisper.   Maddie did have a tough start in life with infections in both her eyes and some respiratory issues. Her left eye had to be removed so she is a proper pirate. Also her right eye has partial obstruction from the third eyelid. Essentially, she has about 40% of her vision. She's gotten medicine and surgery and is right as rain now. She also has a bit of allergies that kick up around the same time as mine. Little sneezes and a bit of a wet eye, so that's something that will need to be monitored. NONE of that stops her. And you'll need to watch out for her because she won't see things on her left sometimes - she loses the laser pointer all the time. It's so cute to see her sniff out things too and use her nose to help her "see".   She will be an indoor only baby. That won't be a problem, once she's yours, you'll never want to let her out of sight.
