Meet Scooter
Scooter is age 3. (07/04/2019 This is not his birthday, but the year estimated by the vet on his age based on first vet visit and his 'Got ya Day'). He was abandoned at 7 or 8 weeks old and was adopted by an elderly lady, Joyce and had 2 older cats. His current care giver called him 'Baby Kitty' because he was so tiny and now his nick name is 'Squeaker'. His person has recently passed away. Being an elderly lady, she had very thin, sensitive skin and a scratch could be very painful for her so she didn't pick them up or encourage them to be a lap cat. Visitors were also few and far between which has made this boy shy. Don't be fooled, these guys were spoiled and had constant attention. The current caregiver and her husband have brought Scooter out of his shell and with some patience Scooter will be an awesome companion to his new person. He is a lap cat and likes bear hugs. As soon as we sit down, he runs up in our lap for cuddles. We pick him up and he goes completely relaxed and starts to purr. If we don't pick him up when we first see him, he falls down on the floor and squeaks until we pick him up, we have also had him on his back. Neck rubs and shoulder/hip messages are his favorite. He looks like a solid chap, has a goatee and his fur is cashmere soft. His social skills need attention with people so his new person will need patience and experience if he reverts to being super shy. He really does not like dogs or the vacuum, but he will give his person lots of love. The caregivers are neighbors and great friends of the lady that passed and know Scooter from the day Joyce let him in. This is a special boy and loves men too. Are you his person? Do you know someone who is? Up to date Shot records and health records will convey.
