Meet Jake and Lily
Jake and Lily are an energetic bonded pair with personalities big enough to fill any room they are in. While they often enjoy adventures on their own throughout the day, exploring every inch of their home, they always find their way back to each other at the end of the day for snuggles and more playtime. Jake is an orange tabby that is unfazed around everyone - adults, kids, you name it, and he loves playing, especially with string toys. When he's hungry, he isn't shy about meowing for some food. His energy is high, but when it's time to chill, you'll find him snuggled up in his cat bed. Lily is a cool gray striped tabby and is a bit more laid back than Jake. She's a bit on the reserved side, especially around new faces, but give her a string toy or a tiny crinkle ball, and she's all in. She's quiet, not much of a meower, but like her brother, she loves her food and also loves to nap in her cat bed. These two large kitties are full of curiosity and love a good adventure. They like to be in the know about everything going on in the home and their sweet, but bold, personalities are impossible to ignore. They are social butterflies that loves pets and human interaction. You can easily approach, pet, and even pick them up, with Jake being slightly more tolerant of such affections than Lily. They both love lounging on the couch with their people when they aren’t playing. Given their love for space and activity, they would thrive in a larger environment, bonus point if there is a cat they can hang out in! They thrive in an environment where they can roam, play, and be the center of attention. Their need for space and love for life make them well-suited for a home ready to embrace their vibrant, sweet, and playful spirits.
Adoption Process
We ask potential adopters to fill out an application, which we review. We prefer to have the name and contact information for a current or former veterinarian.
We typically deliver the adopted pet(s) to the adopter's home, at which time a contract is signed. We ask for a $100 adoption donation, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, FIV and feline leukemia testing for cats, heartworm testing for dogs, and all veterinary records.
If for any reason an adoption does not work out, we take the animal back at any time during his or her life. Until the adopter and Thundering Paws decide together that the adoption is final, we will refund the adoption donation.
