Meet Percy
Meet Percy, the handsome guy with golden eyes and an all-white fur coat. Despite his obviously large size, Percy’s personality is a bit more reserved. He’s a social and sweet guy who still has introverted tendencies. He loves being brushed, yet remains cautious of extended hand gestures, preferring affection on his own terms and with all paws planted firmly on the ground. An avid climber and enthusiast of interactive play, Percy loves laser pointers and crinkly toys. When he’s ready to just relax and unwind, he enjoys perching by windows or lounging on the couch. Percy likes to express himself with his meows, whether it be for attention, treats, or wanting quality time. With the help of tasty treats for encouragement, Percy does great with other cats and calmer children. He is initially more shy around adults, particularly those with bold personalities or of taller statures. However, with patience and understanding, he gradually warms up, and his body language will change to show his comfort levels. Despite his initial hesitation when introduced to resident cats, Percy quickly establishes relationships, transforming from shy observer to playful companion once he gets to know them. Percy would thrive in a home with understanding humans that can give him space and time to adjust. Through that patience, you will be rewarded with a loving, lifelong companion.
Adoption Process
We ask potential adopters to fill out an application, which we review. We prefer to have the name and contact information for a current or former veterinarian.
We typically deliver the adopted pet(s) to the adopter's home, at which time a contract is signed. We ask for a $100 adoption donation, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, FIV and feline leukemia testing for cats, heartworm testing for dogs, and all veterinary records.
If for any reason an adoption does not work out, we take the animal back at any time during his or her life. Until the adopter and Thundering Paws decide together that the adoption is final, we will refund the adoption donation.
