Cumberland County Animal Shelter

Cumberland County Animal Shelter houses approximately 2000 animals every year. They have a small staff of a shelter Director and two full-time employees with the rest of the staff made up of part-timers who come and go. As a private, retired citizen, The shelter director has authorized me to go into the shelter five days a week to photograph animals to post at online adoption sites. I add, edit and then delete animals when they have been adopted or are no longer available. Because they do not have a large enough staff to handle this type of work, I am able to do it for the shelter, mostly from my home, as a free service.

Meet HANDSOME MAN

HANDSOME MAN checks all the boxes if you are looking for a good looking male cat with charm from the top of his ears to the tip of his tail. He is a show stopper with personality that is just off the charts. He still does need to be neutered. That must be done before he can go home with you as your own. Serious adopters are encouraged to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared!

Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
