Meet MORTIMER (neut./declawed!)

MORTIMER Was surrendered by his owner in the first part of April 2025. Luckily, he is already a neutered male. He is listed as eight years of age and weighed 12 pounds, making him a large cat! He is listed as a black and gray tabby and he is declawed. Because he is already neutered he can go home with you the same day that you adopt him! And because he is declawed, he must be kept indoors only. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared. That includes taking an extra large cat carrier with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt at least one of the spayed or neutered cats currently at the shelter. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!

Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
