Critter Cavalry Rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Cavalry give them a chance to have a life?

Meet TAYA

If you are reading this profile, you must be a black cat lover!  All those superstitious people are certainly missing out on some great kitties!  Don’t miss out on this one.  This lovely black beauty caught my attention from the start with her exotic green eyes.  Plus, she has that jet black, silky fur, that you cannot stop petting.  Such a beauty!  As a young kitten, Taya was always the first to meet me at the door, anxious to be picked up and loved.  What a wonderful way to start the day!  Taya is a “lap lover”.  I can always count on her to warm my lap the moment I sit down.   Lately, she has enjoyed watching The Pet Collective channel with mama in the morning, while she enjoys head scratches.  Once the show is off, she heads to the top bed on the kitty tower to continue her nap time.  If you want to get Taya’s attention, you just have to pick up her fishing rod with the feather bait on the end.  Actually, any toy that has a feather and a bell is the ticket for Taya!  Every toy gets her attention, but Taya is also fond of those plastic balls with bells in them!  It is not the balls lucky day.  She loves chasing those around.  Ring, ding, there goes Taya!  Currently, Taya has the run of the main part of the house, all to herself.  She loves it!  But I do find her pawing under the door, into the front kitty foster room.  Is she is in search of a buddy that is her age?  Perhaps.  But this foster mom feels that you may get the best Taya, if she is the only kitten in the home.  And perhaps best that her forever home is a little subdued; ideally a retired couple or single person that works from home.  She has always had an “old soul” for a young kitten.  She does not need attention 24/7.  She likes her cat naps; sometimes solo, sometimes on your lap.  She is not much of a talker, nor much of a foodie.  She enjoys her dry kibble and a dab of wet food or purée on top.  She is an easy kitty to care for and to love.  Not demanding at all.  Taya is a very gentle, sweet kitten.  Born in August 2024, she has always been on the small size, but that has not stopped her.  She is a brave little kitten and she loves to explore.  She will walk under that ladder without hesitation!  Taya has the perfect blend of sweetness, mixed with curiosity, and topped off with independence.  This exotic lady will warm your heart with her sweet demeanor, and her playful side will keep you smiling every day!   Do you have a lap for her to warm?  Push all those superstitions aside.  Let Taya cast her spell on you.  Hocus Pocus!  She is yours.  Make it your lucky day! Catch Taya while you can!   Contact us at [email protected]
