LITTLE BOY is estimated at 13 years of age. He belonged to one family who got him neutered and eventually, a year ago, ended up with another family. He had been kept as an indoor cat at both houses, but somehow started escaping from the second house where other cats started beating him up. As you can imagine, it can cost a bit of money to take an animal to a veterinarian for the various cuts and scrapes and abscesses that they can get when they end up outside. So, this beautiful, friendly, senior male cat is now looking for a new home. Because he has already been neutered, he can go home the same day that he is adopted. NOTE: LITTLE BOY apparently has an ongoing problem developing crystals in his urine and requires a special, prescription diet to prevent the crystals from forming. Staff was not initially made aware of his need for that food and were not informed of it for several days. However, now some of that food has been donated to the shelter to help this cat while he waits to be adopted. Keep that in mind if you would like to help by adopting this senior cat. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking an adult size cat carrier with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt LITTLE BOY or one of the other spayed or neutered cats currently at the shelter. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
