Windy Ridge Rescue

We assist residents to TNR cat colonies in the area to reduce the extermination of homeless cats. We educate on the importance of and provide spay&neuter assistance. We accept accidental litters and family pets for rehoming to prevent them from being surrendered to high kill shelters. We pull from high kill shelters. All rescues are spayed or neutered, brought up to date on vaccines and given heartworm & flea preventatives. Many of our rescues are transported to no kill rescues in Vermont and NY who have high adoption demands. We do all this to prevent the neddless deaths of homeless pets in our area.

Meet Sally

Sally, the shy gray cat, was a delicate and demure feline with a coat as soft as a misty morning. Her fur, a subtle blend of ash and silver, held a muted elegance that mirrored her reserved nature. Large, luminous green eyes peeked out from beneath a gentle fringe of whiskers, revealing a quiet curiosity that contrasted with her overall timid demeanor. Sally's petite frame moved gracefully, almost as if she were a wisp of smoke navigating the world around her. She had a penchant for finding cozy hiding spots, often nestled in the quiet corners of the house, where she could observe the happenings with a watchful gaze. Despite her reserved nature, Sally's heart was warm and kind, evident in the gentle purrs that emanated from her whenever someone approached with a soft touch. In the presence of strangers, Sally would shy away, seeking refuge in the safety of her favorite nooks. Yet, when in the company of those she trusted, she blossomed into a loving companion. Her moments of vulnerability revealed a charming vulnerability that endeared her to those fortunate enough to be part of her small circle. Sally's days were spent in a careful balance of solitude and connection, her shy demeanor masking a deep well of affection that she reserved for those who took the time to understand the subtle beauty of her quiet world.
