Windy Ridge Rescue

We assist residents to TNR cat colonies in the area to reduce the extermination of homeless cats. We educate on the importance of and provide spay&neuter assistance. We accept accidental litters and family pets for rehoming to prevent them from being surrendered to high kill shelters. We pull from high kill shelters. All rescues are spayed or neutered, brought up to date on vaccines and given heartworm & flea preventatives. Many of our rescues are transported to no kill rescues in Vermont and NY who have high adoption demands. We do all this to prevent the neddless deaths of homeless pets in our area.

Meet Darla

Introducing Darla, the epitome of serenity and sweetness in feline form. With her laid-back demeanor and gentle disposition, Darla brings a sense of calm and tranquility to any household lucky enough to welcome her into their lives. Initially shy but bursting with hidden depths of affection, Darla may take some time to adjust to her new surroundings. However, once she feels comfortable, she blossoms into a devoted and loving companion, eager to share quiet moments of companionship with her favorite humans. Darla's love for comfort knows no bounds, as she effortlessly seeks out the coziest spots in the house for her leisurely naps. Whether it's a sun-drenched windowsill or a plush cushion by the fireplace, Darla's keen eye for comfort ensures that she enjoys the finer things in life to the fullest. While she may have lived harmoniously with dogs in the past, Darla prefers to keep her distance from her canine companions, valuing her personal space and tranquility above all else. In essence, Darla is more than just a cat; she's a furry ball of sweetness, radiating warmth and affection to all who have the privilege of knowing her. With her litter-trained habits and preference for indoor living, Darla is not just a pet but a cherished member of the family, bringing joy and love into every moment.
