Meet Iris
Hello, my name is Iris and the first thing you should know about me is that I am very sweet. I will run to greet you at the door and enjoy petting from my head to my curly tail! Iris has a loud purr that you will hear often. She enjoys playing with toys and her siblings. Nap time will find her cuddling with her siblings or on your lap. Iris is looking for an indoor home with a family that will love her, a playmate, toys and perhaps a lap to warm. She wears a soft black fur coat, has a birthdate of 6/7/2025, up to date on vaccinations and will be spayed when age appropriate. If you are looking for an awesome family pet, come meet Iris. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This cat is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County in SC for an adoption fee. All of our cats are indoor kitties. To adopt, contact 864-391-2349 or [email protected]. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 organization. To learn more, visit www.hsmcsc.org.
Adoption Process
Our adoption process starts with an interview. We want to know what type of cat or dog they are looking for, their lifestyle, and their expectations. Then we set up a meet and greet either at the shelter, a pet store, or at their home. Then they fill out an adoption contract. We offer and encourage potential adopters to take the dog or cat home on foster-to-adopt for a few weeks before finalizing the adoption. Our adoption fee is $65 for cats and $125 for dogs which included spay or neuter and vaccinations and for dogs, it includes a microchip. Cats can be microchipped upon request.
