Meet Iona
Iona is a striking black tabby with a little white spot on her belly and a tail that she curls up when happy…this makes her extra special. She is a true lap kitty who loves nothing more than snuggling close and purring her heart out! Playtime is her delight—especially chasing toys on a string or darting after the laser dot with boundless energy. After the fun, she happily curls up with her siblings in a sunny window or cozy bed for long naps. Gentle and affectionate, she’s always ready for both cuddles and play. With her sweet nature and loud purr, Iona is a wonderful companion who brings joy to every moment. She has a birthdate of 6/6/2025, up to date on vaccinations and will be spayed when age appropriate. Iona is looking for an indoor home with toys, and a comfy spot for cuddles. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This cat is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County in SC for an adoption fee. All of our cats are indoor kitties. To adopt, contact 864-391-2349 or [email protected]. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 organization. To learn more, visit www.hsmcsc.org.
Adoption Process
Our adoption process starts with an interview. We want to know what type of cat or dog they are looking for, their lifestyle, and their expectations. Then we set up a meet and greet either at the shelter, a pet store, or at their home. Then they fill out an adoption contract. We offer and encourage potential adopters to take the dog or cat home on foster-to-adopt for a few weeks before finalizing the adoption. Our adoption fee is $65 for cats and $125 for dogs which included spay or neuter and vaccinations and for dogs, it includes a microchip. Cats can be microchipped upon request.
