ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED! Beautiful SARA needs a home! She's a gentle, affectionate 11-12 year old girl, somewhere between a Tortie and a Tabby. Sara was adopted from us several years ago and recently returned through no fault of her own. She as an absolute sweetheart. During her checkup our vet discovered she has a grade 6 of 6 heart murmur. She doesn't require any medications, all she needs is a home where she can live out her days with someone willing to be showered with affection. We have no idea how much time Sara has but she could live for years. She is happy, biscuit-making girl with a healthy appetite. If you have room in your heart and home for Sara, please fill out a cat adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. You can meet Sara at our weekly cat adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. Our cats are fully vetted and require indoor-only homes. All other pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. We will not send cats to homes where they will be declawed, a harmful practice that can cause lifelong physical and behavioral problems. Our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed and microchipped.
Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions.
You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption.
The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
