Black and Orange Cat Foundation

We were started two years ago to try to decrease the cat overpopulation problem in our largely rural area of Plain City, Ohio. We do trap-neuter-return (TNR) of feral and stray cats. We also help low income people get their cats spayed/neutered. Out of these efforts, we always find cats/kittens that are friendly and so we do adopt out these animals. We have cage space at PetSmart, which does help us find a great many homes. Our area consists of a great number of farms and low income people who do not get their cats fixed. It is a huge problem that we are working to solve.

Meet Daphy

This is a courtesy post for a nice young man, Jeremy, who has been helping Daphy and a feral colony. Daphy is a one-year-old sweetheart who was recently neutered, is up-to-date on all his shots, and is microchipped. Daphy's journey has been quite unique. He spent a significant portion of his life outdoors, fending for himself alongside a feral colony. However, after Jeremy  started feeding him and gradually introduced him to indoor living, he adapted surprisingly well. Daphy quickly acclimated to being indoors and even took to using the litter box without any issues. Currently, Daphy has found solace in the home studio, but Jeremy is eager to find him a forever home where he can truly thrive. His affectionate nature is unmatched; he craves attention and will happily soak up all the love you can give. Jeremy thinks he has the potential to do well with another cat as he was hanging out with the feral colony and he currently seeks a lot of companionship.  Daphy has so much love to offer and will undoubtedly bring joy to whoever welcomes him into their lives. A video of Daphy can be found on Jeremy's personal Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/jeremybeaver/posts/pfbid02PngDLZoEDWnCmMF5uZkBLySmh381dNEKaEA4ozfwscbp1wuiQ1N78YveNpJ1jiGVl If you would like more information on Daphy or to fill out an adoption application, please email us at [email protected]. Once we have the application back, we will put you in contact with Jeremy.

Adoption Process
Adoption application. We check references and call vet. There is a $75 adoption fee, but all of our cats are sterilized, vaccinated, and tested for feline leukemia/FIV prior to adoption. We do not adopt to anyone who wants to declaw, but we do not advertise that fact until after the person fills out the application--we do not want them to lie to us if they know they cannot get the cat and declaw. We have them sign an agreement that the cat will come back to us if for any reason they do not want it.

Look for other cats for adoption!
