Meet Amber

  Miss Amber came to Colony Cats back in March with her 7 kittens when they were just 10 days old. She was a teenage mom, had sustained a mouth injury (which has healed without issue), and developed 2 separate types of uterine infections, all while trying to be the best mom possible. Now that she has been spayed and is feeling 100% again, she is ready to find her forever home!! Despite so many challenges in her life, she is just the absolute sweetest girl. She is super playful, loves to be pet and loved on, doesnt mind being held, and isn't very skittish even with strangers. She has lived in a foster home with 2 Great Danes and other resident cats and does great with them all. She is a little leary of new cats, but once she realizes they are safe she settles right in. She would do well in most any home, even one with small kids. Adoption Process
We have an application that requires the potential adopter to wait until their application can be verified. Once everything checks out the adopter comes and picks up their new fur member of the family and signs a contract. One of the highlights of our contract states that if for ANY reason at ANY time they cannot care for the animal, they must return the cat or dog back to Colony Cats (& dogs). Our adoption fees are $100 for kittens (4 months and younger), $85 for kittens 5 or 6 months, $75 for adult cats, $50 for Wise Whiskers (7 years and older). We often have adoption specials where the adoption fees are lowered. The adoption fee includes the animals already being spayed/neutered, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested (cats), heartworm tested (dogs), all vaccinations (FVRCP and DHLPP), rabies vaccine (if kittens or puppies adopted are not old enough to have received a rabies vaccine, then the new owner will need to go to their vet to get this done), microchip, flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
