100Meet Goodyear Blimp (Blimpie)
Meet Blimpie! This little lady has a unique story. She was found in the parking lot of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank by employees of Goodyear who were volunteering for the day. The Goodyear staff caught her (she was easy to catch and walked right up to them) and asked Foodbank staff what to do. One of the Foodbank staff also volunteers for the rescue and got her into foster! Blimpie was fondly named after the Goodyear blimp in honor of the nice people who saved her. Blimpie is very friendly and confident. She has never met a stranger and will meow and chat with everyone she can. She absolutely loves attention and will be a wonderful partner in TV watching, toy chasing, and bird watching for her lucky adopter. Blimpie hasn't met dogs yet but should adjust easily to them. She does well with children and loves other cats. She is 12-14 weeks old now and is being fostered in Fairlawn, OH. Blimpie's adoption fee is $100. The adoption fee includes: negative test for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), spay surgery, age-appropriate vaccines (feline leukemia, FVRCP, Rabies), de-worming, topical flea protection and a microchip. Depending on her age at adoption, her feline leukemia and FVRCP boosters may need completed with her adopter's vet. Adoption Process
The first step to adopting is to fill out the Online Adoption Application at www.rosesrescue.net. After your application has been reviewed and approved, one of our volunteers will get in touch with you. As long as your application has been pre-approved, the pet's foster parent will set up a time with you to come visit the pet you're interested in. In some cases, a home visit may also be required. If all goes well, you will then sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, and then your new pet is ready to go to its forever home!
