DOB: 4/24/2024 Found wandering a quiet graveyard, Ivern isn’t your average cat—he’s a guardian of forgotten places, a gentle spirit with an old soul and a love for peaceful stillness. Much like his namesake, Ivern the Greenfather, this mysterious boy has the energy of something ancient and kind. There’s a calm magic about Ivern. He doesn’t demand attention—he simply is, appearing softly at your side like a breeze through trees or a whisper through moss. He watches the world with wise, thoughtful eyes, as though he’s seen more than one lifetime and carries the hush of the forest in his heart. Though he arrived from a place of quiet stones and shadows, Ivern brings no fear—only comfort. He would thrive in a calm home, ideally one with sunny windows, soft places to nap, and humans who understand the beauty of silence. Give him your patience, and he’ll give you his quiet companionship… and maybe, just maybe, the forest will smile upon your home. Come meet me at the cage free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. They do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection. FIV can be passed from cat to cat via deep bite wounds, but not from casual contact so positive cats can live with negative cats without the fear of spreading FIV as long as they get along and are spayed/neutered. Adoption Process
We have an application that requires the potential adopter to wait until their application can be verified. Once everything checks out the adopter comes and picks up their new fur member of the family and signs a contract. One of the highlights of our contract states that if for ANY reason at ANY time they cannot care for the animal, they must return the cat or dog back to Colony Cats (& dogs). Our adoption fees are $100 for kittens (4 months and younger), $85 for kittens 5 or 6 months, $75 for adult cats, $50 for Wise Whiskers (7 years and older). We often have adoption specials where the adoption fees are lowered. The adoption fee includes the animals already being spayed/neutered, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested (cats), heartworm tested (dogs), all vaccinations (FVRCP and DHLPP), rabies vaccine (if kittens or puppies adopted are not old enough to have received a rabies vaccine, then the new owner will need to go to their vet to get this done), microchip, flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
