Meet Oreo

Oreo is an adult, neutered male cat, probably born in early 2023.  He's a very tender-hearted kitty and his new shelter life has him a little confused.  He tries to make himself very small and invisible in his bed, but if you approach him quietly and let him sniff your fingers, he relaxes and enjoys being petted.  He also likes to lay in his bed with someone's arm around him so he can burrow into their shirt, while they pet him with their other hand.  He visibly relaxes when he knows he's safe and no one is going to grab at him.  He will probably relax even more once he has a chance to adjust and make friends.  He's a very sweet cat, just a little scared.  Oreo would probably be happiest in a quiet household with patient people who can support him in getting braver.

Adoption Process
http://catscradleshelter.org/CCS/how-to-adopt/ An interview with the executive director is done prior to adoption. Not everyone is approved to adopt. Those that are approved have the cat for a 3 week trial period, where they can return cat and get a refund. Beyond that, we always want our cats back if the adoptive household can no longer care for it, but after 3 weeks, the adoption fee is not refunded. An adoption contract is completed prior to final adoption. Adoption fees are $118 including tax.
