Licorice and Snickers were rescued from a life in a dark basement, where they were fed by the super but got almost no other care. Despite having very little attention for many years, they are two of the sweetest cats you will ever meet. Licorice, a beautiful black kitty, wants nothing more than to be in your lap. He sometimes even gives hugs! He will climb into your lap and throw his front paws over your shoulder and nuzzle. As you can see from his pictures, he has a sweet and gentle face that perfectly reflects his personality. He would be perfect for someone looking for a very cuddly companion. Snickers, the dilute calico girl, is also super cuddly. As you can see from her pictures, she loves throwing herself down on the floor and rolling around on her big tummy when you come to say hi. She has beautiful, very soft fur that she wants to have scratched and petted. She will also jump in your lap in order to get more attention. Although Snickers and Licorice have been together for many years, they do not have to be adopted together. It appears that after too many years stuck in a basement, Snickers would be perfectly happy as a single lady. (She can be a little obnoxious with Licorice.) Snickers could also be an only cat, although he would probably be fine with any other cat as well. Snickers and Licorice are around 10 yrs old. They have been fully vetted and have tested negative for FIV/EeLV. Snickers has minor hypothyroidism, which requires one (inexpensive) pill a day, which she eats in a pill pocket. Otherwise these two sweeties are healthy and ready for their forever home - maybe with you? If you'd like to meet this sweet loaf, please submit an application at www.brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms and designate Belinda as the rescuer. All donations go to rescue the next sweet kitty!
