Inspired by the parable of the starfish, Big Apple Cats is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats in need, one life at a time. Our focus is on the quality of rescue, and truly 'making a difference to that one'. Our mission is to find compassionate and caring adopters so that every cat receives the love, care, and second chance they deserve. We strive to educate the public about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering, while advocating for the voiceless and underserved cats in our neighborhoods. We aim to make a difference—one cat at a time—and to inspire others in our community to start saving 'starfish' of their own.

Meet Oscar

Oscar is the most beautiful boy cat ever! He is around 8 years old and was abandoned by his family when they moved away. He is the absolute sweetest lovebug and deserves a second chance at a loving family. He would do best as the only cat in the home with someone who will give him a lot of love and attention. He is just the most pure and gentle soul. Loves to make biscuits!

Adoption Process
1- Please fill out pre-adoption application 2- Kelly our director will contact you to talk about the application and then will call references. Once an application is received we can also set up a meeting in the foster home. 3- virtual or in person home visit to make sure residence is safe for cats. 4- Adoption fee of $150 per cat/kitten along with signing adoption forms.
