We are a municipal shelter for the City of Stamford CT. We respond to animal related calls and are a division of the City Police Dept. We house, care for and adopt owner surrendered or found stray Dogs and Cats. We also rescue and care for injured or orphaned wildlife. We have love for animals and we enjoy helping people. Thats why we do it.

Meet Bootsy Bootsy is an 8-year-old cat that was owner surrendered to our shelter due to no fault of her own. Bootsy spent her entire life with her previous owners and really struggled adjusting to our cat room, but she is slowly coming around. Bootsy is looking for a home as the only pet with an owner that has cat experience. If you are interested in adopting Bootsy please apply online or stop by our shelter located at 201 Magee Ave
