Only Maine Coons Rescue

OMC! (Only Maine Coons Rescue) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. We are a 100% volunteer-run/breed-specific rescue group that specializes in the Maine Coon Cat breed. We rescue Maine Coon Cat/Kitten mixes from shelters and unwanted situations. On occasion, we rescue purebred (PB) Maine Coon Cat/Kitten(s). This means that they have papers registering them as a purebred cat. In addition all of our cats are lovingly cared for in Foster homes until they are placed into their “furrever” homes.Although we cannot guarantee the percentage of Maine Coon in each cat that we rescue. Be assured that each “Coonie” cat represents the breed in a satisfactory manner. Please take a look at the Maine Coon cats in need of a “furrever” home by clicking on this link: Available Cats.In order to start the adoption process, please fill out an Adoption Application by clicking on this link Adoption Application. We are a close-knit group who all work together to make adoptions happen as quickly as possible, and to ensure a happy ending for the coonie and the new adopter.

Meet Willow - Courtesy Post

Meet Willow, a beautiful green-eyed, grey tabby Maine Coon Mix. Willow was recently rescued in the Philadelphia, PA area, and she cannot wait to find the purr-fect home!   Willow's best quality is that she "loves to love" those around her! When she's not seeking out hugs and soft cuddles from her humans, she enjoys playing with her foster siblings. The vet estimates she is under a year old, and still has a TON of kitten energy. Willow will do best in a home with another cat, and is okay with kids. If you don't already have a fantastic cat companion for her, she would be ecstatic to go home with one of her foster siblings. If you adopt Willow, you will have a best friend for life!   Willow is located in the Philadelphia, PA area. If interested in adopting Willow, please reach out to Sophia Stockert at [email protected] for more information.

Adoption Process
An application is submitted to our organization. The application is assigned to adoption coordinator for processing. The adoption coordinator interviews and follows up on references. Then they write up an application summary, and post for the group to vote on. The group votes on the applicant’s adoption status. Once approved to adopt thru our organization, they may pick a cat/kitten to adopt. If approved by the foster parent the adoption process proceeds. Applicant submits adoption agreement and donation is made and then the adopter picks up or we deliver the cat/kitten. Adoption is complete.

Look for other cats for adoption!
