Meet Confucius

Confucius (est 5yrs) showed up behind a Washington Heights apartment building, living off scraps near the trash yard. But it was clear from the start that he was very friendly, likely abandoned, and clearly used to indoor life. Within an hour of being rescued, he made himself at home—belly up, purring, and loving any pets you give him. Place him on your lap, and he’ll happily curl up and reward you with nonstop purrs. He’s also got a playful streak and goes wild for his toy wand. After fending for himself on the streets, he’s still learning that mealtime is safe and consistent, so he may need some patience regarding food. But his love and gratitude do shine through. If you're looking for a playful, loving companion who wants to be safe and adored, Confucius is ready for his furever home.

Adoption Process
1- Please fill out pre-adoption application 2- Kelly our director will contact you to talk about the application and then will call references. Once an application is received we can also set up a meeting in the foster home. 3- virtual or in person home visit to make sure residence is safe for cats. 4- Adoption fee of $150 per cat/kitten along with signing adoption forms.
